I’m excited to announce that the wait is finally over! CentralQ Chat, your AI-powered guide to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, is now live on Microsoft AppSource!

I want to express my sincere gratitude for your patience and feedback 🙏 Your support has been unvaluable in bringing CentralQ Chat to life.

Why CentralQ Chat?

Over the past 10 months, CentralQ.ai has been a game-changer for our community, answering over 100,000 Business Central queries – that’s triple the number of queries handled by the official Microsoft Business Central forum!

It’s a huge milestone, but here’s the thing: those answers were based on a standard, or ‘vanilla’, Business Central setup. We all understand that every implementation is unique, with its configurations, dimensions, chart of accounts, and specific extensions. I received numerous requests for a feature to include personalized manuals and resources specific to each Business Central environment. And guess what?


After six intense months of reimagining everything – from the user interface to the chat experience, and from integrating private knowledge to fine-tuning smart retrieval system – I’ve thrilled to introduce CentralQ Chat.

Now available on AppSource, it’s more than just a search tool. CentralQ Chat is an AI-powered assistant designed to deliver precise, instant answers tailored to your unique Business Central setup.

Your Data, Your Privacy

Right from the start, I was committed to the idea that any private knowledge uploaded to CentralQ Chat must be securely stored and used solely for answering relevant questions. It was crucial that this data remained confidential and well-protected.

There was an initial thought to put data control entirely in the users’ hands – allowing them to store everything from files to vector database embeddings on their Azure or similar platforms. However, this approach introduced a significant challenge: it could complicate the onboarding and maintenance process. Moreover, terms like ’embeddings’ and ‘vectors’ might be scary for newcomers to this technology. So, I took a different route to simplify the user experience and created CentralQ Cloud.

CentralQ Cloud is a combination of Azure services, linked to each other to offer maximum security. In essence, it comprises a file storage system and a vector database.

Ensuring Your Data's Security

One challenge I faced was how to show sources in the answers when they came from private files. Sharing a direct link to the file wasn’t safe because it could be copied and sent to people outside the organization. To solve this, I came up with generated links that only work for a short time, just during the chat session.

And yes, predicting the next question: Your data is used exclusively to answer your queries and is not used for AI training

Ok, interesting part. How to try? 

The experience with CentralQ Chat is something totally new for Business Central users. It’s a fresh approach for both you and me, especially as it’s my first app on AppSource!

Trying it out is super important.

You can use all the features of CentralQ Chat for free for the first 30 days. This trial period lets you see how much it can do without any cost. After that, if you like it, you can keep using it for just $20 per user/month, or go for a yearly plan at $200 per user. And if you decide it’s not for you, no worries – you can stop the subscription without any charges.

Will CentralQ.ai still be free?
